Globalstar secures mobile satellite, ground station operation authorisation in Thailand

Globalstar, Inc., has announced that the Kingdom of Thailand’s Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has authorised the provision of Globalstar mobile satellite services throughout Thailand, including the authority to operate its new ground station at Thaicom’s Teleport Centre in Patumthani province north of Bangkok.

Far EasTone, Ericsson use 5G network slicing to deliver Smart Patrol Car solution to Taiwan police

Far EasTone Telecom (FET), a communications service provider in Taiwan, has delivered the 5G Smart Patrol Car solution for the police department by leveraging AI and Ericsson’s end-to-end 5G network slicing technology including 5G core and RAN slicing utilising dynamic radio resource partitioning in a live 5G standalone (SA) network.

FCC signs partnerships with Brazilian and Romanian counterparts

Bucharest, Romania. 26 September, 2022 – FCC chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel and chairman Carlos Manuel Baigorri of National Telecommunications Agency of Brazil (Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações or Anatel) signed a MOU to work together in combatting unwanted robocalls and to promote advanced communications such as 5G and 6G. chairwoman Rosenworcel also signed a similar partnership agreement with Vlad Ștefan Stoica, president of Romania’s National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM).
