MetTel has announced that Extra Space Storage, an operator of self-storage facilities in the US, has selected MetTel’s POTS Transformation solution to digitise its telephone landlines nationally. This initiative will enable Extra Space Storage to preserve their existing infrastructure of landline-dependent equipment like fire and burglar alarms, elevator lines, fax machines and modems, avoiding capital investment while improving network intelligence and resiliency nationwide.
Secretary of state for science, innovation and technology Chloe Smith announced the £20 million (€23.35 million) funding from the UK Space Agency. NextNav has announced the European commercial testbed for its high-accuracy Pinnacle vertical location technology. Operating in the Paris area in France, the testbed will demonstrate the benefits Pinnacle can bring to local emergency response agencies and integration with applications and devices from existing NextNav partners.
