Huawei announced that they will launch a complete set of commercial 5.5G network equipment in 2024 at the 5G advanced forum during MWC Shanghai 2023. Huawei’s director and president of ICT products & solutions Yang Chaobin who made the announcement says the company intends for this launch to mark the beginning of the 5.5G era for the ICT industry.

Barcelona, Spain – During the MWC2023, Saudi Telecom Company (stc) and Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding towards the F5.5G era to build an all-optical partnership, which includes consensus and product and solution cooperation under the F5G and F5.5G industry standards.

Huawei’s activities this year at MWC Shanghai 2023, fell under their theme of “GUIDE to the Intelligent World”. This year, the company’s activities include an experiential tour that takes audiences to multiple cities to learn about their technology and business. This also includes the launch of its new products and solutions for 5GigaGreen, 5G intelligent core networks, Intelligent OptiX Networks, private line + X products, and other intelligent digital transformation solutions.

Shenzhen, China – At the 2023 Huawei Global Analyst Summit, Huawei elaborated on the concept of 5.5G core, which features new platforms, new services, and new connectivity, during a 5.5G core session themed ‘Leverage Connectivity Value, Enable Full Services.’ Huawei also called on all industry partners to promote the development of 5.5G standards and technologies.

At the All Bands to 5G Summit held during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2023, Huawei says that it will continue to create new ideas and help operators evolve all bands to 5G for maximised spectral efficiency as they strive to deliver more high-definition and immersive digital experiences to consumers and accelerate the digital transformation of various industries.

Ooredoo Kuwait has declared the completion of 5G mmWave technology testing in close collaboration with the Communication & Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA). This achievement aims to provide internet and data transfer experiences. Huawei has started to commercially deploy its third-generation 5G Massive MIMO outside China, with the Philippines recipient. Next-generation innovative technologies, such as ultra-wideband, multi-antenna, and extremely large antenna arrays, significantly improve spectral and energy efficiency and can help operators build future-oriented simplified, green, high-performance 5G networks.
