C Spire goes live with NetCracker converged billing

C Spire’s wireless unit has gone live with NetCracker Technology’s converged billing and active mediation systems to support both pre-paid and post-paid wireless services on a single rating and billing platform.

C Spire, a diversified telecoms and technology services company, operates the United States’ largest privately held wireless communications unit and is based in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The company provides world-class, customer-inspired wireless communications, one gigabit consumer internet access as well as a full suite of dedicated internet, wireless, IP Voice, data and cloud services for businesses.

“NetCracker’s ability to provide, deliver and support a forward-looking converged billing solution to serve our entire customer base made it the clear choice as our key partner for this substantial billing transformation,” said Carla Lewis, the senior vice president of IT at C Spire.

The project involved a major billing migration from two legacy billing systems – one supporting post-paid, the other pre-paid – onto the convergent NetCracker Revenue Management platform. This single platform now supports C Spire’s pre-paid and post-paid wireless 2G, 3G and 4G LTE+ service subscribers. NetCracker also implemented its Active Mediation solution and a variety of other components relating to mobile service activation and collections. NetCracker’s innovative converged billing solution as well as its strong track record for successful solution delivery and customer migration projects were the primary factors in C Spire’s decision to partner with NetCracker for this mission-critical transformation.

“We are excited to expand our relationship with C Spire; to deliver on its convergent rating, billing and mediation vision; and to enable new services and revenue opportunities,” said Sylvain Seignour, the vice president of global sales at NetCracker. “This successful migration demonstrates NetCracker’s dedication to and expertise in delivering next-generation convergent billing solutions that help our customers grow and innovate.”
