Blockchain-based insurance claims to exceed $10BN in cost savings by 2024

Hampshire, UK.18 January 2022 – A new report from Juniper Research has found that blockchain‑based insurance will transform claims administration; saving $10 billion (€8.77 billion) in costs globally by 2024, up from $1.1 billion (€0.96 billion) in 2021. Insurance providers will increasingly leverage the benefits of increased process transparency and real-time data sharing. Data on blockchain networks is accessible to all parties; eliminating duplication of effort and minimising fraud.

Ericsson, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) recently announced their collaboration for an education initiative on 5G in Malaysia that will help educate Malaysian students on 5G and emerging technologies. This collaboration will enable UTM students to participate and contribute to the country’s digital economy and Industry 4.0 transformation.

Blockchain to facilitate savings of $10bn globally in cross-border payments

Hampshire, UK. 8 November 2021 – A new report from Juniper Research has found that the deployment of blockchain for cross-border settlement will drive increasingly significant cost savings for banks; rising from $301 million (€260.06 million) in 2021 to $10 billion (€8.64 billion) in 2030. Blockchain implementation in cross-border settlement will enable stakeholders to leverage improved payment transparency and traceability; a critical advantage in an omnichannel payments market.

A new study from Juniper Research found that the total number of digital banking users will exceed 3.6 billion by 2024, up from 2.4 billion in 2020; a 54% increase.
