Network performance assurance provider Accedian appoints new head of R&D, pursues growth in NFV, 5G

Accedian, a global end-to-end network performance assurance provider, has appointed Martin Labelle to the role of vice-president of Research and Development. Martin will lead technology and new product development by Accedian’s R&D teams in Montreal, Sweden, and Vietnam.

Martin brings over 19 years of knowledge and experience in product development to his new role. Prior to joining Accedian, Martin served as vice president of Software Engineering at Ciena, where he led all product development initiatives in the areas of software-defined networking (SDN), network and service management, network planning, and analytics.

Prior to that, Martin was vice president of Engineering and Operations at CENX, a developer of service orchestration and network analytics software. He has also held senior engineering roles with AMDOCS, Bridgewater Systems, Nakina Systems, Ceyba, Visual Networks and Newbridge Networks.
