CSG International extends Charter deal for five years

Charter Communications, a broadband provider and the fourth largest cable provider in the US, has extended its contract with CSG International for the vendor to provide residential billing and customer care services through to 31 December 2019.

Currently, CSG provides its end-to-end, pre-integrated customer care and billing solution for all of Charter’s existing residential customers. The extended five-year contract provides the framework for Charter to consolidate additional customers that it may gain through acquisition activities onto CSG’s billing solution. Charter will also deploy elements of the new CSG Ascendon platform to better manage customer profiles, preferences, and interactions.

“Charter has transformed its business over the past several years to deliver the exceptional customer experience that it takes to compete in today’s digital market,” said Peter Kalan, president and chief executive officer of CSG International. “We have worked closely with Charter to ensure that its customer care and billing systems are strategically aligned with this transformation and we look forward to the next phase of driving increased customer satisfaction, revenues and profits as they continue to grow.”
