Nokia and AT&T announced a successful limited live trial of the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) over AT&T’s commercial 5G mmWave network in New York City. When Sprint launched its Cut Your Bill in Half campaign in December 2014, it wouldn’t work with iOS devices. The campaign was praised for its innovation and aggressiveness and was an initial success, says Ed Finegold, author, analyst, and digital start-up veteran. It invited prospects from any major competitor to upload their bills to Sprint’s website to receive a custom offer.

Nokia announced that it had reached 63 commercial 5G contracts worldwide, positioning it as a global provider of the delivery of end-to-end 5G solutions. The figure includes customers such as AT&T, KDDI, Korea Telecom, LG Uplus, NTT DOCOMO, O2, SK Telecom, SoftBank, Sprint, STC, T-Mobile US, Verizon, Vodafone Italy and Zain Saudi from key 5G early adopter and progressive markets.
