Mitel and O2 announce partnership to simplify business communications

Mitel and O2 have partnered in a move to help UK businesses reduce costs, complexity and support levels. The deal will ultimately boost customer service through simple, fully managed communications and collaboration services.

The partnership aims to provide comprehensive, secure and agile business communications solutions through a simple online or cloud based platform. Customers will benefit from Mitel’s 40 years of experience in business communication solutions and mobile expertise in one comprehensive, fully integrated telephony, collaboration and mobility service.

Mitel’s MiCloud communications and collaboration tools promote productivity and business agility through a centrally managed unified communications admin portal. This enables one management team to take care of everything, so O2’s customers can focus on their own customers. The solution works seamlessly with top business applications like Skype, Salesforce, Google and more, and is extremely secure so customers can be confident that information and applications move safely via the cloud.

Depending on customer needs, the service can be scaled up or down on a monthly subscription basis with continuous monitoring and clear service level agreements.

“Workplace and consumer communications are becoming increasingly centred on mobile devices with users expecting consistent, instant and seamless access to services from anywhere,” said Rich McBee, the chief executive of Mitel. “With Mitel and O2, UK businesses are uniquely positioned to increase productivity and reduce costs while reaping the benefits of different modes of communications for greater speed and simplicity.”
