Turkcell improves customer experience with NEC’s and Netcracker’s resource management solution for faster services

NEC Corporation and Netcracker Technology have announced that Turkish mobile service provider, Turkcell, with more than 34 million subscribers, has successfully deployed Netcracker’s Resource Management solution.

This is part of Turkcell’s continued focus on customer satisfaction and infrastructure optimisation. The work will reportedly allow Turkcell to retire its legacy IT systems so it can provision new services more quickly.

Turkcell, with support from NEC and Netcracker, will use Netcracker’s Resource Management solution, comprised of Resource Inventory, Discovery & Reconciliation and Planning & Design capabilities, to drive three key business outcomes:

  1. Optimise its infrastructure and reduce opex by making more efficient use of its network assets.
  2. Reduce the total cost of ownership by consolidating network and resource information on a single system.
  3. Deliver a better customer experience by activating new devices faster and reducing the time between when customers order services and the time they can be consumed.

With more efficient end-to-end fulfillment and assurance processes, Turkcell will become more agile and strengthen its leadership position in Turkey’s fast-changing market.

netcracker“Our customers expect great service continuity and quality with a network that never lets them down,” said Erdogan Bayrak, IT Governance & Enterprise Capabilities manager at Turkcell. ‘With Netcracker’s solutions and expertise, we can make our infrastructure more efficient, our business processes more agile and we can successfully meet our customers’ expectations.”

‘Delivering sophisticated OSS capabilities to Turkcell highlights our commitment with Netcracker to help service providers optimise performance on all levels,” said Cengiz Karabalik, general manager at NEC Telecommunication and Information Technology (NEC Turkey). ‘We are excited to help Turkcell move forward with this initiative and take on enhanced functionality to gain new competitive advantages.”
