Phillip Yoo, Senior VP, Global Services

CSG International, announced that CSG’s current senior vice president of Global Services, Phillip Yoo, will now serve the company as president of its Global Carrier Business.

In this role, Yoo will set the strategic direction for sales and delivery of CSG’s solutions for telco and wireless carriers worldwide, as well as drive profitable growth within existing and new telecom client accounts.

“CSG’s solutions and services operate at the heart of the majority of the top 100 global communications service providers, where we provide tangible business value every day,” said Phillip Yoo, president of CSG International’s Global Carrier Business. “There’s more we can do to position our clients for success in the evolving digital economy and I’m excited to lead the charge during this unprecedented time of transformation in the telecom industry.”

Yoo will align CSG’s products and solutions to create solid operating strategies designed to support revenue and customer management operations for non-cable carriers. Yoo’s strategies will be designed to not only help CSG’s clients as they transform their businesses to support the growth of digital services, but also to expand CSG’s footprint in the telecommunications industry across the globe.

“Globally, telecom service providers are managing complex operating environments including legacy networks and services alongside a whole new digital service ecosystem. This makes the daily need to operate the existing business while innovating new products and services very difficult and our clients are asking for our expertise and solutions to help,” said Bret Griess, chief executive officer of CSG International. “The combination of Phillip Yoo’s expertise with CSG’s proven strength in managing complex processes and technologies will help us better deliver exactly what our clients need – streamlined operations designed for the digital era.”

Yoo brings a successful history within CSG as well as wealth of telecommunications industry experience to his new position. He has 29 years of experience in product management, software development, professional services and service delivery, gained with companies such as Ericsson, Comverse, Telcordia and Lucent Technologies.

Most recently, Yoo served as CSG’s senior vice president of global services until he began his new role with CSG International, effectively immediately.
