MYCOM OSI’s commitment to unified service assurance commended in Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan awards

Based on its recent analysis of the service assurance market, Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan has recognised MYCOM OSI with the 2015 Global Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan award for Product Line Strategy Leadership in Service Assurance.

MYCOM OSI has extended its capabilities into critical new areas of telecom networking support, such as analytics, orchestration and automation. A vital factor is its ability to address the fault management and performance needs of networks that use a wide spectrum of technologies. While competitors can scale up processing for large networks, they remain unable to do so on a cross-domain basis.

“It is no secret that the volumes and variety of network and usage data have played havoc Communications Service Providers’ ability to assure network and service performance with traditional, stand-alone tools,” said Tim McElligott, senior consulting analyst with Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan. “A platform approach like MYCOM OSI’s that combines performance and fault management with service management, automation and orchestration, and network analytics is the right approach for the future.”

MYCOM OSI has also expanded the range of its portfolio. The company’s ProActor™ automation and orchestration solution boosts the speed and frequency of essential activities, accelerates the identification and resolution of performance issues, and reduces manual errors. Its ProInsight™ network analytics solution offers network utilisation and subscriber behavior insights by integrating and associating technical, network-based information with business-based metrics in order to facilitate optimal and relevant decision making.

“In an increasingly complex ecosystem, CSPs urgently need to simplify the management of networks and services, while simultaneously extracting high levels of intelligence, in order to deliver a quality customer experience,” McElligott said. “The next-generation portfolio from MYCOM OSI, which provides meaningful metrics, quick event processing and thorough troubleshooting, can take CSPs a long way toward that goal.”

“We are delighted to have won the Stratecast Service Assurance product leadership award,” said Mounir Ladki, president and CTO at MYCOM OSI. “This recognises MYCOM OSI’s leading position in the telecoms market and our strong product strategy, which is helping communications service providers optimise their network and service quality, whilst considerably improving the overall customer experience and reducing churn. Also, our major innovations in the areas of big data analytics and orchestration/automation are paving the way for CSPs’ transformation into digital service providers.”
