Nokia, NTT power digital transformation for industries across Thailand with 5G private wireless

Nokia announced that they have entered into a partnership with NTT Ltd. This partnership will make private wireless networking solutions available to more than 3.2 million enterprises across Thailand. This also accelerates a digital transformation that will drive measurable increases in productivity, operational efficiency, and worker safety. Deployed at multiple enterprise business parks across Thailand, Nokia 5G private wireless solutions will modernise business critical applications and use cases across sectors vital to the nation’s economy including manufacturing, mining, healthcare, and education.

Private wireless networks are designed to connect devices in remote or challenging industrial environments areas not well-served by Wi-Fi. They deliver high bandwidth wireless connectivity and low latency essential to industry 4.0 applications, along with security, 24/7 availability, and performance for mission-critical applications. The partnership is designed to create an agile environment for enterprises and industries across Thailand, enabling businesses to take full advantage of industrial loT, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).

The partnership spans a range of Nokia networking solutions including the Nokia digital automation cloud (DAC), and network automation and industrial digitalisation edge platform: MX Industrial Edge (MXIE). By combining the technology and resources of NTT and Nokia, Thai enterprises spanning multiple industries will have access to a suite of as-a-service digital technologies that enable use cases such as digital twins to monitor the network and manage devices, video analytics and machine vision with real-time video and IoT streams, as well as pre-integrated industrial devices and a catalog of applications.
