Centina Systems joins Ciena’s Blue Orbit SDN/NFV Ecosystem

Anand Gonuguntla, co-founder and CEO, Centina Systems

Centina Systems, a provider of strategic assurance and network performance management solutions, has joined Ciena’s Blue Orbit SDN/NFV Ecosystem

Part of Ciena’s Blue Planet Division, the ecosystem is comprised of industry partners who deliver applications and platforms for multi-vendor SDN and NFV deployments.

The first partnership program of its kind, the Blue Orbit Ecosystem accelerates real-world network operator SDN and NFV deployments. Blue Orbit is a group of like-minded, best-of-breed hardware and software suppliers dedicated to delivering disaggregated solutions that enable operators to adopt a multi-vendor approach to building next-generation networks.Centina’s

Centina’s vSure solution will be integrated with Blue Planet’s orchestration to provide closed loop feedback in order to allow operators to optimise and remediate virtual services. vSure will provide the end-to-end and top-to-bottom visualisation that is critical to enabling operators to manage NFV and SDN environments. vSure’s Smart Plug-In technology will seamlessly integrate with other ecosystem partners and virtual network elements to provide comprehensive, reliable infrastructure.

The need for Blue Planet integration has been driven by Centina’s active engagements with customers to provide service assurance solutions for their virtual networks.

“We are pleased to join Blue orbit ecosystem. vSure’s integration into the ecosystem will help operators meet their end to end needs and the accelerate deployment of virtual services”, said Anand Gonuguntla, co-founder and CEO of Centina Systems. “Together, we can further validate the SDN and NFV use cases, scale, and performance requirements that service providers demand.”

“Ciena is excited to have Centina Systems join our Blue Orbit program. The integration of Centina’s vSure solution with our Blue Planet platform can provide the closed loop feedback between orchestration and assurance that operators need to automate remediation and network optimisation in a dynamic environment,” said Kevin Sheehan, vice president of Global Customer Operations for Ciena.
