Orange Slovakia launches shared data plans using Openet

Orange Slovakia has deployed Openet’s Policy and Charging Control infrastructure to enable a major rollout of advanced shared data bundles. The deployment makes it possible for Orange Slovakia to quickly define segmented data offers, with associated balances, notifications and policy rules.

The Openet system supports Orange Slovakia’s new data plans offered to its 2.8 million subscribers. “Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We take pride in listening to the needs of our customers and rolling out new solutions and services to meet their demands,” said Peter Varga, the deputy director of IT and services engineering at Orange Slovakia. Philip Hogan, the global vice president of sales and services at Openet, added: “The clear need for more personalised data plans was something that Orange Slovakia wanted to quickly capitalise on, and offer its subscriber base. The operator found that Openet was the vendor that could meet both quality and timetable requirements. The new shared data offers will enable Orange Slovakia to answer the call of its subscribers, from families to small businesses, and give them better control over their plans.”
