Eastlink adopts Astellia monitoring

Astellia has been awarded a new contract with Canadian mobile network operator Eastlink.

Astellia will implement its unified network performance management system. By integrating both RAN and core data into customised dashboards for network planning, maintenance and radio optimisation, Astellia is able to provide 360° network visibility. This will enable Eastlink to further optimise its network and pinpoint areas for performance tuning with geographical precision and consideration of unique area topography.

The solution also provides Eastlink with a deeper understanding of both 3G and 4G LTE traffic patterns; analysis and assessment of the customer service experience; improved network capacity forecasting; and an improved ability to determine where resources should be invested.

“We were impressed with Astellia’s expertise and track record of delivering network assurance solutions to mobile network operators around the world, as well as Canada,” said Steve Irvine, vice president of engineering and operations at Eastlink Wireless. “The independent validation of our network performance will ensure our customers receive an outstanding service experience”.

Frederic Gonzales, managing director Americas at Astellia, added: “By understanding business drivers, we can provide actionable intelligence throughout the Eastlink Wireless organisation which is the power behind a positive customer experience. We are proud to be entrusted with delivering a fully customizable solution with rich reporting and troubleshooting capabilities.”
