Nokia, EY study: Enterprise, industrial metaverses are exceeding expectations

Espoo, Finland – Companies that have already deployed industrial metaverse use cases are seeing more reported benefits than those still in the planning phase expect, most notably in capital expenditure reduction (15%), sustainability (10%) and safety improvement (9%), according to a study published today by Nokia and EY. Examining the current state of the enterprise and industrial metaverses, The metaverse at work study which surveyed 860 business leaders across six countries shows that the industrial metaverse, particularly, is expected to deliver on and beyond expectations.

Most business professionals want to embrace metaverse, study shows

Hanover, Md. 28 September 2022 – A new global study commissioned by Ciena has uncovered just how ready business professionals are to collaborate in the virtual world. Ninety-six percent of the 15,000 business professionals surveyed across the globe recognise the value of virtual meetings, and more than three-quarters (78%) say they would participate in more immersive experiences like the metaverse versus current tools, such as video conferencing. Additionally, while appetites grow for the new digital world, unreliable network performance was cited (by 38% globally) as the top concern holding organisations back.

Orange Spain opens store in the metaverse

Spain, 14 September 2022 – Orange has opened a store in the metaverse and claims to be the first company in the Spanish telecommunications market to open a commercial space in this virtual world. Orange says it is working to reinvent customer experience in the field of virtual commerce in the light of the upcoming metaverse.
