Ericsson, PLDT, and Smart connect for environmental conservation in partnership with DENR and Sasmuan LGU

25 January 2022 – Ericsson, together with PLDT Inc., the Philippines’ fully integrated telecommunications company, and its wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) strengthen their partnership for nature conservation in the Philippines, with the signing of a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The partnership aims to leverage the use of technology and advanced machine learning solutions to support environmental sustainability in Sasmuan. Reinforcing this partnership is the participation of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sasmuan, Pampanga.

Vecttor incorporates Telefonica Tech, Geotab’s solution to its fleet

Telefonica Tech and Geotab announce their collaboration with Vecttor to increase the efficiency, safety and sustainability of their vehicles. Telefonica Tech provides a fleet management service to Vecttor vehicles in Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Sevilla and Valencia. This solution includes different components such as IoT connectivity, the device and the telematics platform. As a result, Vecttor has enabled more than 3,000 VTC vehicles to reduce 20 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
