Ribbon Communications Inc. has made an announcement regarding its selection by Texas A&M University (TAMU). TAMU has chosen Ribbon’s NPT IP routing for wireless backhaul to support its private 5G research network.

Nokia, Nomios Group, and GEANT have revealed plans for GEANT, a union of European National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), to implement an IP/MPLS (internet protocol / multiprotocol label switching) solution from Nokia. This deployment is a component of a 10-year framework agreement overseen by Nomios Group.

Tokyo, Japan – Rakuten Symphony, Inc. and Juniper Networks, announced a much-needed change to the current adoption model of the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) by delivering Juniper’s RIC as part of the Symworld platform.
