5G Open Innovation Lab (5G OI Lab) has announced that international telecommunication provider AT&T and Comcast have joined its ecosystem. The Lab also announced its batch #8 cohort with over $313 million (€293.09 million) in venture capital raised and 17 multi-stage startups embarking on 5G OI Lab’s fall programme, which begins this week. Malaysia’s DNB 5G network will be first in region use Ericsson’s 5G RedCap

Ericsson has carried out tests on Malaysia’s 5G network deployed by Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) for the first implementation and validation in Southeast Asia of Ericsson’s pre-commercial Reduced Capability (RedCap) software.
