At MWC Barcelona 2024, Huawei has announced the launch of Net Master, the first major network model in the communications industry for markets outside of China, at Huawei Enterprise Business Open Speech. This model is designed to meet the growing network O&M needs of managed service providers (MSPs). It aims to increase O&M efficiency by 100 times and facilitate intelligent transformation in enterprises.

According to Herit Wang, a vice president of NCE Data Communication Domain, the key to successfully developing MSP services is to deliver network and application experiences to tenants. To meet this challenge, Huawei’s data communication product line has introduced Net Master, a large-scale network model.

Trained on Huawei’s Pangu models, Net Master has an arsenal of over 50 billion levels and the networking experience of more than 10,000 experts. Its advanced semantic comprehension capabilities make it possible to support knowledge questions and interactive service analysis and make informed decisions, which greatly improves the efficiency of MSPs’ network operations management.

Take, for example, AuteWiFi, an MSP partner in China. Their live network covers 20 universities serving 600,000 students and handles over 3,000 incident reports each week. By using Net Master’s intelligent Q&A capabilities, AuteWiFi was able to increase the automatic closure rate from 30% to 80% in the event of network issues. In addition, the Net Master’s proactive detection of complex faults in the running network has reduced the average troubleshooting time from 2 hours to just 1 minute, which is a 100x improvement in O&M efficiency. Despite maintaining the same number of employees for administration and maintenance, AuteWiFi was able to increase the number of management users by more than 10 times.

In the future, Net Master will continue to expand its capabilities, enabling MSP partners like AuteWiFi to achieve rapid business growth and provide a solid foundation for enterprise intelligent transformation.
