Taiwan Star Telecom signs with NetCracker for revenue management and managed services

Taiwan Star Telecom has agreed to a multi-year extension of NetCracker Technology’s Remote Managed Services for its billing operations.

Taiwan Star Telecom is a 4G mobile operator based in Taipei, Taiwan. In June 2014, Taiwan Star acquired 3G operator Vibo, making it one of the mobile operators in the Taiwanese market. Vibo has been a NetCracker customer since 2003, with NetCracker taking responsibility for Vibo’s billing operations via a remote managed services model.

The selection of NetCracker by Taiwan Star Telecom as the platform of choice for the unified company recognises that the high-quality solutions and services NetCracker delivered will be a strategic enabler for Taiwan Star as it expands in Taiwan’s increasingly competitive 4G marketplace. Taiwan Star has successfully, rapidly and seamlessly implemented its 4G services on NetCracker’s Revenue Management platform.

“NetCracker has been a proven partner for many years and was the logical choice to drive excellence in our billing operations as Taiwan Star expands its presence in the Taiwanese market,” said Peter Pan, senior vice president IT Group at Taiwan Star Telecom. “NetCracker’s billing and operational expertise provides us with certainty in our revenue management operations as we grow and innovate in this highly competitive 4G industry.”

NetCracker’s Revenue Management solution and Remote Managed Services provide Taiwan Star with the industry’s highest level of application availability, release quality and on-time delivery, and bill production and accuracy. NetCracker is also helping Taiwan Star bring new 4G mobile packages and value-added products to market by strengthening its efficiency and reliability.

“It is exciting to be part of Taiwan Star’s ambitious growth in the Taiwanese market for 4G mobile services,” said Sylvain Seignour, vice president global sales at NetCracker. “This agreement represents another example of the confidence and trust that our customers have in NetCracker as a partner that can help them achieve aggressive strategic business goals.”
