Basset launches Wholesale Revenue Management platform

Basset, a global provider of BSS software has launched a Wholesale Revenue Management platform at Mobile World Congress.

The overall trend is an increased importance of wholesale. With fierce competition in retail services, CSPs must turn to wholesale to profit on infrastructure investments. By using a unified suite, where modules and functionalities are harmonised, CSPs will achieve high compliance and a low total cost of ownership.

The Wholesale Revenue Management platform handles billing and revenue assurance for interconnect, roaming and wholesale. It enhances profitability through routing optimisation, automation of trading and full business reporting.

“There is a necessary on-going trend change towards wholesale. CSPs need to have a clear strategy to be able to monetize on each nut and bolt, for every available kilobyte, minute or CPU clock-cycle in their hands. This can represent a substantial part of the future revenue growth. Operators with strong wholesale revenue strategies will have advantages; rebalancing their business, differentiating and enabling communication for the future service environment,” said Daniel Ölvebrink, the manager for Wholesale Revenue Management at Basset.
