Analysys Mason Webinar – The service innovators’ dilemma: do disruptive new services always need new IT systems?

Date: 3 April 2013, 03:00PM – 04:00PM GMT, Venue: Online In this free webinar, Justin van der Lande, Senior Analyst from our Analytics Software Strategies and Revenue Management research programmes, will look at ‘the service innovators dilemma’: do disruptive new services always need new IT systems, or is it possible to anticipate the support that new services will need?

To capitalise on new services, communications service providers (CSPs) need to bring them to market as quickly as possible. The complexity of changing established systems often leads to adjunct systems being deployed, and over time this leads to operational inefficiencies that can erode the initial advantages gained by the new service.

This webinar studies the choices CSPs make when launching new services, and when adjunct systems are justified for new services or market segments.

The audience will be polled during the webinar on key aspects of the dilemma, and Justin will provide participants some feedback on the issues raised.

The 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session for participants.

This webinar will take place on Wednesday 3 April at 3pm GMT/10am EDT.
