RCN Business launches managed security service with Versa Networks

RCN Business, a communications provider delivering network solutions for voice, data and video, and Versa Networks, have announced the launch of RCN Managed Security, a cloud-based managed security service enabling businesses to efficiently manage information security and monitor network activity. The service is available now to RCN Business customers using the company’s fiber-based services.RCN Business Managed Security is delivered from the cloud, eliminating the management and capital costs associated with traditional security solutions. Based on software-defined security (SD-Security) from Versa Networks, RCN Business Managed Security provides businesses with the protection capabilities of enterprise security solutions like next-generation firewalls and unified threat management, while greatly simplifying deployment, operations and monitoring at branch office sites.
