Infotecs selects Rohde & Schwarz as strategic technology partner for DPI

Infotecs has announced that it has selected Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology from Rohde & Schwarz to embed in the Infotecs Cyber Security Platform as part of its Next Generation Firewall.

In keeping with its mission to provide clients with superior protection from increasingly serious Cyber Threats, Infotecs is enhancing its built in Firewall capabilities by developing a Next Generation Firewall. This will allow Infotecs clients to access the most advanced best-of-breed Next Generation Firewall capabilities available on the market within the ViPNet Security Platform.

The Infotecs ViPNet Security Platform provides complete multi-layer security in one cost-effective solution. It delivers robust, rock-solid security through its modular platform which is scalable, flexible, centrally managed, easy to deploy and maintain. The ViPNet Solutions seamlessly integrate into existing networks enabling customers to achieve the right balance of high security with low complexity and low risk.

Infotecs has selected the DPI technology from Rohde & Schwarz’s subsidiary Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity ipoque to form a core element of its Next Generation Firewall. Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity ipoque is a provider of IP application awareness software which enables network infrastructure and security vendors to develop products with intelligent bandwidth control, prioritised quality of service delivery and reliable network security.untitled

This deep packet inspection (DPI) controls and filters several characteristics of data packets and helps to make data traffic highly secure with the level of enterprise grade security.

“After extensive market research we made a strategic decision to work with the Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity ipoque solution to provide deep packet inspection”, explained Josef Waclaw, CEO of Infotecs GmbH. “We found it far superior to other solutions available on the market.

In addition, the team from Rohde & Schwarz was extremely knowledgeable and had a strong understanding of our needs. We are confident that the Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity ipoque DPI technology will deliver significant value to our customers worldwide.”

Rohde & Schwarz also praised the cooperation with Infotecs. “We are pleased to be working together with Infotecs to support their customers’ needs for DPI technology. Infotecs recognised experience in delivering high security solutions for major enterprise customers through their Cyber Platform means their customers will benefit from using best-of-breed DPI technology in a seamless enterprise deployment”, said Sebastian Schmutzler, international sales manager Europe at Rohde & Schwarz.
