Orange Business Services extends enterprise cloud choice through new collaboration with Google cloud

Orange Business Services, a global communications operator and integrator, and Google Cloud Platform, a global technology leader, have announced the interconnection of Google Cloud Interconnect with Business Virtual Private Network (VPN) Galerie, the Orange Business Services secured cloud hub.

Through Business VPN Galerie, enterprises will have direct access to Google Cloud Platform data centers in North America, Europe and Asia via a secure, high-performance and managed network with a single and trusted partner. This collaboration between Google Cloud Platform and Orange Business Services provides enterprises with a network that can deliver business agility and the new ways of working offered by the cloud.

Go beyond the standard internet connection

Business VPN Galerie was launched in 2011 to anticipate the growing demand from multinational corporations (MNCs) in their digital transformation for high performance, secure access to Internet-based cloud and web services. It extends the Orange corporate VPN to the cloud via fully-secured gateways with end-to-end high performance and reliability.

The integration of Google Cloud Interconnect means that enterprises can use Google Cloud Platform services with higher availability and lower latency connections without having to traverse the public Internet.

Pierre-Louis Biaggi, vice president, networks, Orange Business Services said: “Business VPN Galerie is part of our hybrid network strategy designed to help enterprises cope with the predicted tripling of global IP traffic between 2014 and 2018. Orange Business VPN Galerie has become a premier choice for enterprises that are moving workloads to the cloud. Today more than 1,300 enterprises and more than 20 cloud partners (including Orange Cloud for Business, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Express Route, Salesforce, AWS, Ingenico, Cegid) trust us at over 33,000 sites around the world.”
