Connect44 acquires AMG Engineering to enhance network plan-build-manage across Europe

Connect44 Group has announced the acquisition of AMG Engineering, a mobile planning and site design company, headquartered in Spain with operations in Germany and Poland. With this acquisition, Connect44 enhances its value proposition of plan-build-manage, providing an integrated range of mobile and fixed network planning, design, acquisition, build, operations management and field services across 11 countries in Europe.

AMG Engineering will be ‘fully’ integrated into Connect44 as a business unit named Connect44 Design and Planning Solutions under the supervision of Manuel Cespedes, managing director, who will report to Francis Schmeer, group CEO of Connect44.

As a single source supplier, Connect44 provides vendor-agnostic solutions to mobile operators, tower companies, fixed-line players, and network equipment vendors, thus reducing procurement costs, both in time and unitary costs, while owning more of the supply chain. Customers can now benefit from customised and integrated end-to-end network planning, build, and management services that drive the quality of network performance and increased efficiencies.

With AMG’s client and sub-contractor relationships in Germany, Connect44 will expand its business in the region, providing increased value to customers. AMG’s presence in Poland also provides Connect44 with a legal entity and skilled workforce, thus facilitating expansion and new project opportunities.

Overall, this acquisition enhances Connect44’s capabilities, offering a more range of services to customers while leveraging AMG’s skill for growth and expansion.

Francis Schmeer, CEO of Connect44 Group, says “We are proud to announce the acquisition of AMG Engineering, which completes our strategic value proposition and strengthens our position as a leading provider of telecom network solutions. This acquisition allows us to provide our customers with an integrated continuum of services, reducing costs and increasing efficiencies. We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition presents and are confident that it will benefit both companies and our customers.”
