Fortress Solutions joins OnGo Alliance, establish new 4G/5G inter-operability test lab

Fortress Solutions, a provider of telecom infrastructure equipment repair, has announced that they have joined OnGo Alliance to deepen their connections in the wireless sector and better serve their customers. TheOnGo Alliance’s purpose is to support the common interests of members, implementers, and operators for the development, commercialisation, and adoption of LTE and 5G NR solutions for the US 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).

Fortress Solutions made this announcement in conjunction with the OnGo Alliance annual members meeting and exhibitor showcase in Dallas, April 10-13, 2023, where the company is also announcing the establishment of an inter-operability test lab devoted to the private wireless community. This facility will be able to test hosted managed services solutions for deployment and conduct post-deployment evaluations, including, but not limited to, technical support and network monitoring.

Being a partner to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors in the PMN/CBRS space, Fortress has distinguishing capability of bringing performers together for inter-operability testing regardless of manufacturer and/or vendor.

Peter Spouse, Fortress advisor and CBRS veteran, states “The private wireless community was missing a key ingredient, namely, the glue to bring various vendors, devices, and technologies together to ensure the enterprise’s solution works seamlessly in the lab before it’s deployed in the field. The Fortress inter-operability lab allows collaboration between the best brands and organisations to create easy communications and connections for everyone.”

Fortress’s overall portfolio of services for the wireless network operators includes site surveys, indoor and outdoor RF network planning, commissioning and integration, drive testing, customised key performance indicators (KPI) reporting Grafana as a service and network optimisation. Their certified professional installers (CPIs) are widely experienced in multi-OEM inter-operability testing and integration.

“We are excited to welcome Fortress Solutions to the OnGo Alliance,” says Alan Ewing, OnGo Alliance executive director. “Their expertise in streamlining enterprise deployment of CBRS-based private networks will be invaluable as we work together to drive innovation and expand the use of OnGo technology.”

“We are excited to be a part of the OnGo Alliance network. Our suite of wireless engineering services offers a new level of inter-operability applications that are not readily available in the market today,” says John Shelnutt, CEO of Fortress Solutions. “We have deep experience in designing and implementing tailored solutions across the full spectrum of digital transformation and our unparalleled depth of engineering expertise ensures that all customer deployment, support, and analytic needs are met.”
