CFO Siegfried Mayrhofer to leave A1 Telekom Austria Group

Siegfried Mayrhofer of A1 Telekom Austria Group

Siegfried Mayrhofer, CFO of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, has decided to leave the company when his management board contract expires at the end of August 2023. He already made this decision in mid-2022 and also informed the presidium of the supervisory board about it.

Born in Upper Austria, he started his professional career at Telekom Austria in March 2000 in the “international business development” department. From 2004 he held various management positions in controlling and accounting for the Telekom Austria Group. Since July 2009 he was chief financial officer of A1 Telekom Austria AG, and since June 2014 he has been chief financial officer (CFO) of the A1 Telekom Austria Group. In challenging times, he played a key role in setting the strategic course for the company and ensured a strong financial profile with a profound balance between value and growth.

“In challenging times, Siegfried Mayrhofer played a key role as CFO in shaping the important strategic course for the company: A1 Telekom Austria Group belongs to one of the most successful European telecommunications groups in terms of growth and EBITDA. Furthermore, the company recently received a rating of “A-” from Standard & Poor’s – this is the best S&P rating in the company’s history ever. Siegfried Mayrhofer made a big contribution to this success,” says the chairwoman of the supervisory board of Telekom Austria Group Edith Hlawati appreciatively, wishing him every success in his professional future.
