São Paulo, Brazil – V.tal, a neutral end-to-end fibre optics infrastructure company, has chosen Kyndryl, a provider of IT infrastructure services in the world, to optimise and virtualise traffic and routes throughout its terrestrial network of more than 430,000 kilometers of fibre optics. With this agreement, V.tal will continue to drive the digital transformation for telecom operators and internet providers, allowing them to improve their users’ high-speed internet usage experience.
With coverage of more than 19 million addresses with fibre optics in all regions of the country, V.tal needed a reliable technology partner with deep network expertise to support its expansion plan and route optimisation. For this purpose, it has chosen Kyndryl, which will supply the virtualised router reflector, a solution that brings even more agility to V.tal’s network, helping it to expand its capacity to serve customers with the same performance in all regions where it operates.
The router reflector is a fundamental piece of equipment in the modern internet routing infrastructure. It is responsible for distributing the network’s signal routes, ensuring that the paths and data deliveries are accurate. As V.tal’s infrastructure is shared by several client companies, Kyndryl’s solution also virtually separates the routes of each client, allowing the independence and neutrality of services even within the same network. With the virtualised router reflector, V.tal will have an optimised network infrastructure with multiple functionalities.
