Orange acquires Log’in Consultants to strengthen its desktop virtualisation activities in Europe

Orange has announced that it has completed the acquisition, through its Orange Business Services entity, of Log’in Consultants, a provider of desktop virtualisation integration services and subsidiary of the Log’in International group.

Founded in 2002, Log’in Consultants consists of three entities located in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, which offer VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) consultancy and infrastructure management services to companies of all sizes.

Desktop virtualisation is becoming a key issue for companies looking for more efficiency in an increasingly mobile environment. It provides users with “virtualised” network access to their desktop from any device (PC, tablet, smartphone).

An internet connection is all that is needed for them to access their resources and work wherever they may be. By extending the cloud to all information system components, it offers companies agility, security, cost savings and the ability to meet new end-user expectations.

Orange Business Services is a leading player in this market in France, through its subsidiary Neocles Corporate. With an asset base of around 150,000 desktops and an innovative approach to operating VDI platforms, Orange Business Services has developed unique skills that has enabled it to gain the confidence of a large number of customers, including major companies, in a highly competitive market.

This acquisition allows Orange Business Services to strengthen its team with 135 experts and to extend its desktop virtualisation activities in Europe to meet high market demand in target countries and from its multinational customers outside France.

“Desktop virtualisation is a key component of business transformation. It delivers agility, productivity and performance by fundamentally changing the day-to-day life of company employees. It was essential for us to strengthen our teams and our integration capabilities in this field. We are now able to meet the growing demands of our European multinational customers,” stated Thierry Bonhomme, CEO of Orange Business Services.
