CLX Communications operator division, Symsoft, has via its strategic partnership with CITIC Telecom International signed an agreement with a leading mobile operator in Hong Kong to secure their network with an SMS Firewall solution.

The security solution will be provided and deployed in the mobile operator’s network where CLX Communications and CITIC Telecom International will manage, monitor and provide continuous upgrades in order to keep the network secured from illicit SMS traffic. The security solution will protect subscriber integrity as well as provide revenue assurance for the mobile operator. The agreement is for an initial period of three years.

CITIC Telecom International have been working closely with mobile operators around the globe for decades, enabling mobile operators to deliver highly satisfactory innovative services to their subscribers. With SMS Firewall services, mobile operators can further enhance their customer satisfaction by protecting them against SMS fraud and spam.

“As a global leader in mobile messaging, CLX Communications see how operators around the world struggle to protect and secure their messaging revenues. Our unique global experience deploying SMS Firewalls together with CITIC’s local know-how provides a strong partnership. We are excited about our partnership with CITIC Telecom International and pleased to protect another mobile operator in Hong Kong”, says Janne Hazell, senior director Revenue Generation & Fraud Protection at Symsoft.
