Last month Spirent Communications’ (www.spirent.com) device intelligence business unit announced a groundbreaking agreement with Prepaid Wireless Wholesale    (www.prepaidwirelesswholesale.com), North America’s largest mobile virtual network enabler /aggregator (MVNE/MVNA). The agreement enables the device intelligence solution of Spirent Tweakker (www.tweakker.com) to service the connectivity needs of American mobile virtual network operators from New York to San Francisco. Ready Wireless (www.readywireless.com) was first to sign up for PWW’s offering of Tweakker to US-based mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

Just one month on from the announcement, the President of Ready Wireless, Glen Jasper, states, “Tweakker’s device intelligence solution brings serious value-add to our business, deeply lowers user configuration costs and creates a much improved customer experience. All MVNO’s should be Tweakker-enabled.”

Ready Wireless has received many accolades over the years and was included in the Inc 500 2014 list of fastest growing companies in America. This results from year-on-year strong revenue growth.

Jasper’s endorsement of Tweakker’s connectivity technology delivers two key messages to MVNOs across America. One, that teaming with the connectivity leader enables them to greatly reduce customer care costs.

Like all MVNOs world-wide, the challenge facing carriers is that devices all have different instructions for programming data and Multimedia Messaging (MMS). With Tweakker’s cloud device intelligence solution, connectivity issues for data and MMS are a thing of the past.

As a result, out-of-the-box access point name (APN) configuration has become a mission-critical requirement for any MVNO and for any MVNE/MVNA platform. Tweakker’s device intelligence cloud service analyzes and configures all handset models from known and unknown handset manufacturers. The scale of its device settings library is unmatched in today’s carrier market.

Dennis Juul Poulsen, general manager of Spirent Tweakker, comments: “Ready Wireless’ ringing endorsement of our technology further positions Tweakker as the must-have solution for MVNOs. With Tweakker, MVNOs can better build brand confidence with their customers and by getting them online in a handful of seconds to generate high-value data and MMS revenues, enables them to improve vital average revenues per user.”

The Tweakker Device Intelligence Cloud solution uses highly accurate device intelligence data trusted by over 100 carriers. Accurate device data is particularly important in the MVNO segment because many customers bring their own devices into the MVNO’s network (BYOD).

Spirent is the only Device Intelligence vendor on the market that runs a daily proven in-house verification program for device data, device settings and analytics. Each day, all Spirent’s 100 plus operator customers are provided new verified data, while other device management vendors offer only monthly updates, with hot updates on separate order.

MVNO’s have no upfront costs in using  the Tweakker service and only a monthly fee is charged based on user connectivity numbers.
