Sigma Systems has signed a technology agreement with NetYCE that will accelerate new service fulfilment for complex business data services including carrier ethernet, metro ethernet and layer 2/3 VPN business connectivity. The companies will work together to ensure seamless integration of the Sigma Idea-to-Install product portfolio and the NetYCE platform for Design Driven Networking.
“The Sigma Idea-to-Install portfolio provides full automation of service fulfillment for CSP, eliminating the need for the hard-coding that is required with many legacy back-office systems,” said Catherine Michel, the chief strategy office and vicep president of product at Sigma Systems. “Software defined network and network function virtualisation have emerged as key new network capabilities that give CSPs an advantage. NetYCE’s expertise in network automation, coupled with Sigma ensures that CSPs can finally automate end-to-end fulfillment of business data services in both traditional, SDN and NFV networks.”
The NetYCE platform offers a commercial platform with multi-vendor, tenant domain and technology support for service providers and enterprises. Its Design Drive Networking approach offers a single source for all networking knowledge, processes and architectures are managed to fully standardise and automate networks. When deployed along with the Sigma Idea-to-Install portfolio, operators can ensure rapid, accurate provisioning of services across all networks.
“CSP’s have come to realise that network automation is key.,” said Wim Gerrits, the chief executive of NetYCE. “They want to be able to automate both their existing legacy networks and have a transition strategy to implement new technologies such as SDN and NFV. This is exactly what NetYCE offers.”
