ZTE Corporation, a global provider of information and communication technology solutions, together with China Mobile Research Institute, and Guangzhou MINO Equipment Co., Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation on 5G-A Industrial Field Network Technology at the 5G and next-generation mobile communication technology development forum during the 2023 China Radio Conference.

Lanner Electronics and Napatech have announced their collaboration on an optimised server platform for hosting mobile core infrastructure and enterprise security functions. As operators of both mobile networks and data centres scale up their deployments that use software-based virtualised functions and services rather than physical appliances, they need to maximise amount of user traffic that can be supported on each server thereby minimising their energy consumption.

Lockheed Martin delivers 5G testbed to marine corps for mobile network experiments

Lockheed Martin has delivered the final Phase 1 Initial Prototype 5G testbed variant for the Open Systems Interoperable and Reconfigurable Infrastructure Solution (OSIRIS) to the Marine Corps programme management team aboard Marine Corps (USMC) Base Camp Pendleton, California, and will begin mobile network experimentation. OSIRIS is a 5G communications network infrastructure testbed for expeditionary operations experimentation for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD R&E) FutureG & 5G Office and USMC that was awarded to Lockheed Martin in 2021.

China Mobile, ZTE verify 5G-A RIS application for Asian Games

China Mobile is set to serve as the telecommunications provider for the Asian Games. The collaborative efforts China Mobile Research Institute and China Mobile’s have completed the application verification of 5G-A Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS). This verification took place at the cycling stadium designated for the 19th Asian Games, held in Hangzhou. This achievement is an aspect of the telecommunication network assurance for upcoming Asian Games.
