Proximus selects Zimperium mobile threat defence to protect subscribers against surging mobile attacks

Brussels, Belgium. 20July 2022 – Zimperium, a global provider of mobile security, has struck a deal with Proximus starting from 1st July 2022, Belgium’s telecommunication and digital services provider. The deal aims to strengthen cyber security for its enterprise customers.

ETSI advanced mobile location standard now mandatory on all European smartphones for emergency calls

Sophia Antipolis, France. 22 March 2022 – Since 17 March all smartphones sold in Europe are required to comply with Advanced Mobile Location for emergency communications. AML was standardised in ETSI TS 103 625 by the ETSI technical committee on emergency communications (EMTEL) in December 2019. It is already helping emergency services dispatch the needed resources efficiently in Europe and worldwide.

Digital ad spend to reach $753bn globally by 2026

Hampshire, UK. 7 February 2022 – A new Juniper Research study has found that global digital advertising spend will increase from $407 billion (€355.12 billion) in 2022 to $753 billion (€657.02 billion) in 2026; representing growth of 85%. The report found that mobile in-app revenue will account for 56% of global spend by 2026.

In September Mozilla introduced multi-hop feature on desktop where you can use two VPN servers instead of one VPN server. This powerful privacy feature is very helpful for people who are ultra-conservative when it comes to privacy and includes folks like political activists, journalists writing about sensitive topics.

Cyberattacks increase by 13%, with more attacks targeting mobile devices

Paris, France. 9th December 2021 – Research from Orange Cyberdefense, Europe’s managed security services provider, reveals that there has been a 13% increase in cyberattacks on enterprises over the past 12 months. There has been a rise in ransomware incidents and, for the first time, a noticeable wave of attacks against mobile devices.

A new study by Juniper Research has found that 5G-compatible smartphones will account for over 50% of smartphone sales revenue by 2025; rising to $337 billion (€285.80 billion) from $108 billion (€91.59 billion) in 2021.
