San Jose, United States. 21 June 2022 – Infinera announced Cabildo de Tenerife, the governing body of the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, has deployed Infinera’s XTM Series across its regional government network infrastructure to increase broadband connectivity throughout the island.

Transport network transformation : A critical component of the CSP to DSP journey

Communication service providers (CSPs) are on a journey to transform themselves into digital service providers (DSPs). Per a recent Optica report, 51% of CSPs believe that their digital transformation is “well advanced” across their business, compared to only 39% last year. In contrast, 47% indicated that their digital transformation is advanced in only a few areas or still at an early stage (Omdia 2022, n=67), says Tim Doiron, vice president of solutions marketing at Infinera.

GlobalConnect Carrier delivers high-speed 800G transmission with Infinera’s ICE6 technology

San Jose, CA., USA. 4 May 2022 – Infinera has delivered its 800G optical transmission with Infinera’s ICE6 technology across GlobalConnect Carrier’s live international long-haul network using GlobalConnect’s existing third-party line system. This achievement marks a significant milestone for GlobalConnect, laying the foundation for modernising its northern Europe-wide network, which offers a full suite of carrier services with more than 100,000 kilometers (km) of fibre and 3,300 access nodes.

GBI deploys Infinera’s ICE optical engines to increase network capacity, launch new services

San Jose, USA. 23 March 2022 – Infinera announced Gulf Bridge International (GBI), a global cloud, connectivity, and content enabler, deployed Infinera’s Infinite Capacity Engine (ICE) technology to increase capacity on GBI’s Smart Network. This has enabled GBI to launch new initiatives like its Capacity Protection Program and prepare for major events like the World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar later this year.
