OTT/TV everywhere enabler Xstream launches customer engagement tool to speed video content revenues

Over-the-top (OTT) service provider and TV Everywhere enabler Xstream A/S has launched a new customer engagement tool. This reportedly enables video providers to boost subscriber acquisition, speed up conversion into paying customers and to lengthen customer retention times.

“Customer engagement is now at the heart of the video on-demand industry and this tool is another example of how Xstream is helping it to grow and maximise return on content investment in the shortest timeframe,” says Jacob Barlebo, Xstream’s sales and marketing director. “Early revenue streams and sustained customer retention are vital to the financial health of content providers.”

The engagement tool is one of the further monetisation features of Xstream’s award-winning MediaMaker End-to-End Over-the-Top (OTT) Video Cloud. It enables providers to collect information about end-users such as their viewing behavior and to then to reach out to them with personalised customer engagement campaigns through email, SMS and social media.

Additionally, Xstream enhances its MediaMaker platform with a fully customisable OTT optimised Business Analytics Solution, which brings all the important business performance indicator data from multiple sources to a single, intuitive business intelligence dashboard.

The increasing number of new applications and devices make data silos a growing challenge for OTT video businesses. Without the ability to merge and correlate data lying in different locations, even the simplest business decisions become guess work.

Through Xstream’s Business Analytics Solution, service providers are now better equipped to make more accurate business decisions whether it be about pricing, segmentation, promotion or content selection.

The new monetisation solutions will be showcased at the upcoming IBC Conference 2017 in Amsterdam (September 14-19) on Xstream’s booth #14.L22.
