AdaptiveMobile expands in LatAm, India and Africa to protect 1 in 5 users from mobile threats

AdaptiveMobile, a mobile network security provider, has announced that the Company has passed the 1.5 billion milestone of mobile subscribers protected as it continues to witness rapid uptake of its mobile network protection platform and mobile threat intelligence services.

As well as protecting 75% of mobile subscribers in North America, AdaptiveMobile has experienced significant growth through new partnerships in Latin America – now protecting almost 25% of mobile users in the region – and expanded within Africa to protect almost 30% of subscribers on the continent.

With 3.6 billion unique mobile users worldwide, and growth predicted to continue to 9 billion mobile connections by 2020, the mobile device is becoming the main channel to launch fraudulent or malicious threats to an individual, an enterprise or a nation state.

The World Economic forum names cyber-security as one of the greatest threats to businesses around the world in their 2016 Global Risks Report and as the mobile threat landscape continues to evolve in complexity and sophistication of attacks, the demand for security becomes a critical consideration.

“AdaptiveMobile is at the forefront of mobile security and as the demand for comprehensive mobile protection increases, we’re witnessing significant growth in the uptake of our Network Protection Platform,” said Brian Collins, Chief Executive Officer of AdaptiveMobile. “In the last year we have expanded into new geographies and markets as we work with the world’s largest service providers to keep their customers safe from mobile abuse and exploitation.

The Company is poised for continued growth as our unique mobile experience, sophisticated security software and global threat intelligence are called upon to develop new security architectures as IoT and 5G move the industry towards hyper-connected networks of the future.”

AdaptiveMobile’s Network Protection Platform is complemented by the Company’s industry-leading Threat Intelligence Unit (TIU). The TIU provides unparalleled insight into security threats across major network operator and carrier customers on all continents, thanks to its dominant market presence, in over 75 operator networks worldwide.

AdaptiveMobile is able to leverage this unrivalled visibility of the mobile threat landscape to keep customers fully protected against emerging threats as they are detected across the globe.
