Comarch has forged a technology partnership for M2M and IoT with Nokia.

The companies will work in the domains of connectivity management platforms as well as vertical applications services for key industries, using Comarch’s experience in M2M and its IoT offering. The platforms will complement Nokia’s existing IoT ecosystem to help form complete, end-to-end IoT solutions that will be offered to telecom and other industries worldwide.

“We’re keen to bring the cooperation between Comarch and Nokia to the next level. The broad scope of the agreement reflects our vast investment in software and hardware around IoT for various industries such as ehealth, low energy devices and automotive over the last year,” said Mariusz Lasek, the chief executive of Comarch Technologies.

Thorsten Robrecht, the head of Advanced Mobile Networks Solutions at Nokia, added: “IoT applications are being rapidly developed all over the world. Nokia has the expertise and innovation strength to set up the necessary ecosystems, and believes firmly in open collaboration with partners to build future applications across industries.”

The Comarch M2M Platform helps in launching M2M offers for vertical industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, FMCG, energy and utilities, finance and banking, healthcare, manufacturing, public services, security, and transportation and logistics. The Comarch M2M Platform has been implemented by major European mobile operators, including the Telekom Austria Group.
