Erstream integrates NexGuard’s watermarking solution into its OTT and CDN offering

Erstream has announced the integration of NexGuard forensic watermarking into its online video delivery platform.

Erstream offers an over-the-top (OTT) video delivery solution for live and On Demand, which includes multi-bitrate encoding, content distribution network (CDN) delivery, edge storage, ingest and content management solutions and is one of the major players in the MENA region.

NexGuard has been a leader in forensic watermarking for more than 10 years, its solutions have been widely deployed by major Hollywood studios for pre-release protection, in more than 160,000 movie theatre screens worldwide and in more than 20 million set top boxes. NexGuard has already been deployed commercially for UHD and HDR and has been adopted by numerous OTT service providers; the combined Erstream-NexGuard solution is now being deployed commercially in the Middle East/North Africa egion for Live OTT.

“Subscriber-level watermarking is increasingly important for premium content” said Ugur Kalaba, CEO of Erstream. “By integrating NexGuard forensic watermarking, our customers can comply with the latest content protection requirements from the top sports leagues and Hollywood studios. By working with the world leader in watermarking, our customers can offer the best content catalog and have the tool to address illegal re-streaming immediately and effectively.”

“At NexGuard, we continue to deploy solutions that protect against illegal re-distribution of content, which is fast becoming the main global security threat facing content owners and distributors,” said Harrie Tholen, NexGuard managing director. “Our integration with Erstream, which is particularly targeting live sports, demonstrates how subscriber-level watermarking in OTT services enables our customers to identify piracy down to the subscriber level very quickly and stop illegal streams at their source.”

Meet Erstream and NexGuard at CABSAT from March 8th – 10th in Dubai, Hall 4, booth #CD-32 and NexGuard in Hall 4, booth #CD-24.
