Lars Månsson promoted to CTO at DigitalRoute

DigitalRoute has appointed Lars Månsson chief technology officer. By promoting from within, the company will be able to fully benefit from Månsson’s extensive experience in a variety of key roles for the mediation and policy market leader as well as his deep knowledge of its products accumulated over recent years.

Previously, Månsson has served as head of product management and head of strategy at DigitalRoute and has thus been heavily involved in the development of its flagship technology, MediationZone. His broad network of existing customer, media, analyst and partner contacts cultivated in those roles will enable him to enter the role of CTO with a detailed understanding of market needs.

The new role of CTO at DigitalRoute will further strengthen the development and growth of the market’s technology leader. Månsson and his team will initiate and expand dialogues with major partners and customer groups, evolve DigitalRoute’s strategic offerings and explore new potential markets for the company.

“I am excited to take up this challenge at a time when data integration issues have come to the fore more than ever before, particularly as technology shifts – such as virtualisation – start to re-cast the operating landscape,” said Månsson.

Prior to joining DigitalRoute, Månsson worked for Sema Group, Atos Origin, Logica and Tele2 in roles focused variously on technology, engineering, IT and support. As a result, his knowledge of carrier, supplier and integration issues as seen from all sides of the table is extensive.

Johan Bergh, the chief executive of DigitalRoute, added: “In taking up the role of CTO, Lars will become the technology visionary inside our company. His leadership will be focused both internally and externally, most critically in ensuring our products continue to meet the needs of the markets we serve. I am delighted to add Lars to our leadership team and I believe his new role represents a significant step forward for DigitalRoute.”
