Kount is inviting business to take part in its 2016 Mobile Fraud Survey.
Now in its fourth year, Kount says that the survey has become one of the most widely read investigations into mobile fraud. Each year, thousands of merchants and business insiders take part in the survey, giving a unique insight into how businesses detect and fight mobile fraud.
With the launch of both ApplePay and Samsung Pay, 2015 was the year that mobile payments went mainstream. This, combined with the EMV shift in the US and consequent predicted spike in card-not-present fraud means that 2016 will be a critical year for fighting mobile fraud.
Don Bush, VP Marketing at Kount explained: “There is predicted to be $563bn in global mobile money transfers in 2016. Mobile payments is increasingly moving into the mainstream and while this is good news for consumers and business, it also presents opportunities for fraudsters.
“Our experience tells us that the first step to fighting fraud is intelligence. Knowing where frauds are happening and knowing how they are happening gives us the vital insight to take on the fraudsters and beat them. So we are encouraging merchants and business insiders to take part in our survey and share their information with us so that we can analyse it and share it with the wider world.”
