Zettabox joins Cloud28+

Zettabox has joined the Cloud28+ community, an open, federated ecosystem dedicated to accelerating business cloud adoption across Europe.

Cloud28+ features an online catalogue of trusted, enterprise cloud services that match in-country or cross-border buyer and regulatory workload requirements. As a Cloud28+ member,Zettabox offers the only pan-European cloud-based storage and sharing solution that is fully compliant with Europe’s strictest data privacy laws. This includes the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that is expected to be approved by the European Parliament shortly.Zettabox has been designed with data protection built in, including unique functionality like GeoTool.  WithZettabox GeoTool, customers can select one of ten data centres in Europe, thereby complying with regional requirements that data be held locally. Data will never be stored in the US or on US-owned networks, meaning companies need not worry about the Safe Harbor invalidation.

“We created Zettabox to help European companies build sustainable futures in the cloud by ensuring compliance with increasingly strict data protections laws in the EU. Cloud28+ was a logical community for Zettabox to join as their mission is to build a cohesive and collaborative cloud environment, for Europeans by Europeans. We are proud to be a part of this thriving and growing pan-European community,” said James Kinsella, Zettabox founder.
