Anite to license Nokia OSS interfaces

Anite has signed an agreement with Nokia Networks under the Operations Support Systems interoperability initiative (OSSii) for access to Nokia’s OSS interfaces. Integration with Nokia product interfaces ensures that Anite’s Nemo products can accurately and analyse wireless network data in their CSP customer LTE networks.

OSSii was initiated to enable OSS interoperability between different OSS vendors’ equipment. The objectives of OSSii include enabling easier interoperability between OSS systems, reducing overall OSS integration costs, and enabling shorter time-to-market. Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia are the initiating parties of OSSii – Operations Support Systems interoperability initiative.

“Our operator customers will greatly benefit from our co-operation with Nokia. Ensuring our analytics products Nemo Xynergy and Nemo WindCatcher can access and accurately analyze OSS data is imperative,” says Kai Ojala, the chief technology officer at Anite’s Network Testing Business. “The analysis and optimisation of LTE networks is becoming even more complex. We need to be able to utilise multiple data sources and analyse and optimise networks effectively and efficiently. Ultimately, the gain will be better service and network quality for the benefit of the end-users.”
