Claremont, NH, USA. March 26, 2015 — New Hampshire-based Red River, a federal information technology (IT) services provider, reports that it has achieved the Cisco Systems Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) Connected Safety and Security Specialisation.

Red River was the first Federal Partner to achieve this distinction, which recognises the company’s expertise in designing, integrating and maintaining a full range of Cisco video surveillance and access control solutions.

“Red River is pleased to be the first Federal Partner to attain the Cisco Advanced Internet of Things Connected Safety and Security Specialisation,” said Jeff Sessions, senior vice president of Corporate Strategy with Red River. “Adding this important distinction to our growing list of Cisco Specialisations demonstrates the depth of Red River’s Physical Security Practice, evolving expertise and deep commitment to expanding our knowledge base in order to better serve our customers.”

The new Advanced IoT Connected Safety and Security Specialisation is said to be the latest addition to a growing list of certifications for Red River that highlight the company’s technical expertise in helping customers meet existing and future security threats using Cisco technology coupled with Red River’s strategic and tactical expertise.

In order to earn this distinction, Red River fulfilled a range of Cisco technical programme and training requirements, including creating site surveys, identifying the appropriate use, placement and timing of specific physical security devices, designing complex systems, handling installations and providing ongoing support for customers. The IoT Connected Safety and Security Specialisation highlights Red River’s ability to strengthen and advance the security stance of customers through the networking of sensors, devices and enterprise assets connected to integrated security systems, video surveillance and access control solutions.

Red River is a longstanding Cisco Gold Certified Partner, with the broadest range of expertise in advanced Cisco technologies, and holds the highest level Customer Satisfaction Rating of Excellent. The company is one of only a handful of partners who hold both Master Collaboration and Master Security Specialisations in the Federal space.

By taking a definitive, proactive approach to defending assets, infrastructure, facilities and perimeters from today’s highly sophisticated security threats, Red River empowers proactive security for federal and enterprise customers with an array of solutions, including video surveillance, intrusion detection, physical access control, physical security information management and environmental controls.

Cisco awarded Red River $250m enterprise SMARTnet contract

This news follows Cisco’s announcement in December 2014 that Red River had been awarded a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Cisco Enterprise SMARTnet contract, a five-year enterprise services agreement (ESA) with a ceiling value of US$250 million.

The scope of that contract includes Cisco-branded reactive SMARTnet maintenance and support for Cisco networking, telephony, TelePresence, Unified Communications and Unified Computing devices and applications, including all licence maintenance support for all VA locations.
