Cerillion expands its OSS footprint with acquisition of network asset management business netSolutions

London-based provider of billing, charging and customer management systems, Cerillion Technologies has acquired netSolutions, a geospatial location network inventory business, from Ubisense Group plc for an undisclosed fee.

This strategic acquisition is designed to enhance Cerillion’s BSS/OSS portfolio, enabling it to address the end-to-end service management needs of next generation networks, as well as extending its reach into other industry verticals.

The netSolutions product suite comprises netAssign, netCapacity, netBusiness and netWireless, providing a range of network asset management solutions. These can be deployed for service assignment, capacity management, fibre planning, and wireless network engineering. The netBusiness Web Service architecture also provides seamless access to enterprise information on both desktop and handheld devices, offering small-footprint, focused apps to support technicians working ‘in-the-field’, using their smartphones or tablets. “netSolutions has been adopted by more than 40 telecoms and utilities businesses around the world, including Alcatel-Lucent, Telstra, Level3 and KDDI,” says Louis Hall, CEO of Cerillion.

“The netSolutions team are excited to join Cerillion where we will be able to continue to develop innovative, integrated network inventory solutions for all of our customers” said Gillian Kendrick, Network Asset Management Solutions manager, Cerillion Technologies.

“The acquisition of netSolutions is a perfect complement to our BSS/OSS product suite and our global customer base,” adds Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion Technologies. “Having already partnered with the netSolutions team on a number of successful customer deliveries, I am delighted to welcome them into Cerillion and in doing so further expand our professional services expertise and solution delivery capabilities.”
