Manager, Comarch SA: Comprehensive
cloud solution

Krakow, Poland. July 29, 2010 -- Comarch has launched a new software product, Comarch Cloud Service Management & billing, aimed at Cloud Computing Service Providers who offer any service within the SaaS model, and who need to efficiently manage and bill for these types of services. It can also be used by data centers providing services in the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model, as well as by telecom operators seeking to monetise their investments in infrastructure and IT systems, by augmenting cloud services into their offering.

The system is said not only to simplify the transformation towards offering cloud services, but also supports business processes, IT Management, subscription and data management, both in the private and public cloud.

The business models and measures that can be managed and billed using Comarch Cloud Service Management & billing range from infrastructure and service usage, through service and resource management. The transformation services provided by Comarch include migration of data, verification of process definitions, sample data generation for testing, reports, as well as complete migration to the cloud.

Comarch Cloud Service Management & billing aims to ensure the delivery of the highest quality services to the operator's customers, to guarantee optimisation of business and to enrich the communication service portfolio. Comarch claims that the system can lead to significant cost savings (both OpEx ad CapEx) thanks to a short deployment time, simple and intuitive management, in addition to the fact that it combines numerous functionalities within one system.

"The cloud services market is growing rapidly and is expected to reach US$68 billion by the end of this year, according to Gartner. We felt that since Comarch is one of the market leaders in providing software for the telecommunications industry, it was necessary for us to develop a comprehensive solution to respond to this trend. We strongly believe that this solution will soon constitute the first choice for all companies offering services in the public or private cloud," explains Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, BSS Product Manager, Comarch SA.
