On October 1, 2008 new regulations from the GSMA (GSM Association) come into force governing Near Real Time Roaming Data Exchange (NRTRDE). GSMA-member operators will soon have to exchange roaming data from the roaming to the home network within four hours of call completion. Failure to do so will make the visited operator liable for any fraud associated with the call.
